Meet the RADAR Class of '15
On Saturday February 28, 50 musicians came together to meet one-on-one with industry reps and learn how to make a mark on the NE music scene! 10 RADAR Award finalists performed before judges and a packed house at The Hard Rock Cafe Boston. All of the performers rocked the house, but in the end, our judges chose three top performers to join the RADAR Class of 2015. They include: Lizzy Marella, singer-songwriter from New Hampshire, The Brazen Youth, an alternative rock duo from Connecticut, and 21st Century Fugitives, a classic rock group with a modern edge from Massachusetts. The RADAR Class of 2015 enjoys a year-long honor that will give them visibility, performance opportunities and a chance to give back to the community!
21st Century Fugitives - RADAR Class of '15

They also won Limelight Magazine's 2014 NE "YOUNG PERFORMER OF THE YEAR" Award. And, they were recently one of only 24 MA bands selected for NE MUSIC AWARDS' "Last Band Standing". The band features: John Lucas, vocals, Jimmy Bezreh, Guitar, Gavin Burke, Drums, Jaden Mendola, Bass, Jackson Kehoe, Keyboard.
The Brazen Youth - RADAR Class of '15
In the summer of 2013, sophomores Nick Lussier and Charles Dahlke of southeastern Connecticut got together and started recording their first album under the name “The Company." Six months after the release of their first album, they went on to record another one titled “Something About Broken Records." After some time off and a change of image, this duo changed their name and sound completely. Now known as “The Brazen Youth”, these two continue to bring their music to new heights.
Lizzy Marella - RADAR Class of '15
Lizzy Marella is a singer-songwriter from New Hampshire. Currently studying music at Interlochen Arts Academy, a world-renowned arts school, Marella has been influenced by a great many rock, pop and jazz artists including The Beatles, Ingrid Michaelson, Bob Dylan, Regina Spektor, Duke Ellington and Daughter. Marella is an emerging voice on the singer-songwriter scene. At times her music is emotional and powerful. At other times, it’s light and fun. Both reflect an artist whose music belies her young age.
