“It’s important for us to offer something for every interest,” said Chris Crombie, program director at the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. “The response to our new music programming at the Club has been great.”
Pavoh and the Watertown Boys & Girls Club began its partnership in Fall 2015 with Beginning Guitar Lessons. Pavoh provided a qualified guitar instructor who worked with Club kids to learn new skills. In addition, Pavoh musician Cole Brightbill led Guitar Club every Wednesday, an opportunity for students to practice guitar and explore new songs. All guitar students are encouraged to attend Guitar Club and registration is not required.
The Watertown Boys and Girls Club has been a leading youth development organization since 1972 serving children aged 7-18 from Watertown or any other community through programming aimed at producing positive outcomes. They provide both after school and summer opportunities to ensure kids have a fun and safe place to belong and grow. The Membership Fee is $25 per school year. Scholarships are available if a member cannot afford the dues.
Pavoh, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3), believes that all kids who are inspired to make music should be supported and have the opportunity to connect with resources, performances and other musicians. Pavoh's mission is to provide young people with accessible music opportunities that drive artistic growth and empower self-expression. One of the ways Pavoh fulfills it's mission is by bringing music programs to community partners. Pavoh works with community organizations to create music programs and one-of-a-kind-experiences to inspire a lifelong love of music.
